~ OUR TEXAS LONGHORNS ~

Cow: CALICO ROSE	Utilising embryo transfer to get started in this venture and to ensure they were commencing with top quality seedstock, in 1997 Michael & Lynda Bethel started their registered Longhorn herd. The original source of this herd was Semkin Longhorns, Oklahoma. It was from these humble beginnings that this herd has grown to now be one of the biggest registered Longhorn herds in Australia. AI sires from Semkin Longhorns, Dickinson Cattle Co. and Cowboyhat Cattle Co. are being used. All their purebred Longhorns are registered with International Texas Longhorn Association.

Using Artificial Insemination, Lynda successfully inseminates the breeding herd each season. To keep their herd up to date, using AI, the Bethels are using the best bulls available in Australia and some of the best in the world. Bulls like Victory Lap, Tempter, Superman, Rebel Red, Westward Ho, Cowboyman and Cowabunga Dude to name a few.
