Our Saddles

Saddlemaker, Michael Bethel has been building saddles since 1988. Since then he has crafted more than six hundred hand made saddles for people who make their living on horseback from Texas to Tasmania and all points in between.

Having been inspired by some of the best saddle makers in the USA and Australia and then later learning from them, this saddle maker's emphasis is always on quality and finish. His specialty are saddles that are being used every day by working stockmen and women as well as in competitive events like camp drafting, roping & cutting. Wade saddles, Western Stock saddles and also other Western Roping and Cutting saddles are all custom made to your requirements.

Bethel Saddlery also make the finest quality tack right here in the shop at Leahton Park, Charters Towers with all gear finished to the highest possible standard, using nothing but first grade leather, stainless steel, bronze or brass hardware.

Apart from custom made saddles they also sell used saddles and have an expert repair service available. Bethel Saddlery is also the source of Horseshoe B Saddlery saddles.
